Spectrum News 1 Texas technology reporter Veronica Barriga stopped by the Austin Lighthouse in December to take a look around. Her interest was peaked after seeing multiple stories about the Lighthouse’s Certification Testing Center sponsored by Microsoft and the autonomous mobile robots helping blind workers in the warehouse.
She met up with trainer Hien Tren for a tour of the 3PL warehouse. Hien and warehouse specialist Patrick Davis demonstrated some of the accessible technology, like the talking Bluetooth headsets and turret truck operated by the visually impaired, found in the warehouse.
