Training and Career Services

Giving You Skills to Live Independently

Our training and employment services develop independent living and workplace readiness skills for individuals who are visually impaired, blind, or deaf-blind. Our experienced staff and educators are able to meet our clients at their level of readiness and pace and provide a variety of resources to educate and build confidence. Through these services, we provide opportunities to become more employable and achieve an independent lifestyle. Classes are tuition-free, but class size is limited, so early registration is recommended.

Here at Austin Lighthouse, even though you are blind, you are still held to the same standards as a sighted employee. Working here has also given me a few great opportunities.
