Blind Jiu Jitsu Fighter Nichole Nobles Earns Green Belt

Nichole “Nikki” Nobles, production worker at the Austin Lighthouse for the Blind, attained her fourth stripe, Green belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu on June 21st!

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a martial art and combat sport based on ground fighting and submission holds. Nikki became interested in the sport when searching for a fun way to exercise. She has been training for the last five years and is the only blind student in the academy.

What’s next for Nikki?

 

She will continue work “to be better than we were yesterday” and have fun with Jiu Jitsu. We are rooting for you Nikki!
