White Cane Day Downtown March
Join Austin Lighthouse (Travis Association for the Blind) for the annual White Cane Day Downtown March!
White Cane Day celebrates the independence, achievements and contributions of people who are blind or visually impaired while raising awareness about blindness and the importance of equal access and opportunity.
Marchers will gather at Austin City Hall at 8:30 am before making their way through downtown to the Texas State Capitol at 9 am. The march is open to the public, and everyone is invited to join us in celebrating independence and raising awareness.
Following the downtown march, Austin’s White Cane Day celebration will continue from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Texas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired, 1100 W. 45th St.
