Flu season is here, and medical experts believe it will be a severe one. The CDC recommends we should all take every day, preventive measures that will stop the spread of germs. We can start with practicing good hand hygiene habits and disinfecting commonly touched surfaces.
Practice Good Hand Hygiene
Handwashing and using an alcohol-based sanitizer at key moments are simple and effective ways to reduce the spread of infection. Wash your hands with soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds. Use sanitizer after coughing, sneezing, touching items in high traffic areas and whenever soap and water is not available.
Clean & Disinfect Surfaces
It’s important to clean and disinfect hard and soft surfaces that we frequently touch, such as doorknobs, light switches, counters and office equipment. Illness-causing germs can linger for hours on these surfaces. Take extra precaution when cleaning food preparation areas. Use specially formulated sanitizers and disinfectants on these surfaces.
